Learning and Study Strategies Inventory
Student Instruction Sheet
This is a required activity for all entering CHM Students.
The Learning and Studey Strategies Inventory (LASSI) is designed to gather information about learning and study practices and attitudes. Atfter submission of school number, user name and password (see below), you will be asked to respond to 80 statements related to attitudes and approaches to classes and studying. You must respond to all 80 statements - your answers cannot be submitted until you have done so.
This will be your first time taking the LASSI (there will not be a second administration).
Enter the following information in the First Administration box:
School Number: 79045
User Name: ptsb
User Password: jvm3
After entering this information, the next screen to appear will be the LASSI assessment. You must enter your first and last name into the spaces provided for the page to be submitted correctly. The ID and e-mail fields are optional. You must complete your responses to all statements in one sitting (if you get disconnected or close your browser, you will have to start again at the beginning), so you should allow a period of 30-60 minutes to complete your responses.
You will be asked to respond to 80 statements. The instructions on the LASSI website give explanations of each response. After completing all the items and successfully submitting the results, a two-page report will be displayed listing your scores for each scale, together with your name, institution, date of administration, and an explanation of your results. You may print a copy of the results for your records – go to Page Setup and select Landscape orientation; then click "print." Please ask for assistance if you are not able to complete any of these steps.
Mrs. Wrenetta Green, Director of Academic Support, will review all submissions and may ask you to see her to discuss types of support that may be helpful to you. More information will be presented during orientation week.
